Although
the dogs love their holidays they are just as happy at home, whether meeting up with friends, running
free or enjoying
home comforts.
Golden Rugs
We've Golden rugs in our house,
That lie round the bed at night,
Their deep furry pile in the morning
Warms our feet in dawn's chilly light.
By breakfast they've moved to the kitchen,
Lie rumpled all over the floor,
Snaffling up crumbs from under the toaster
Then look pleadingly, hopeful for more.
Come mid-morning they are damp and dirty,
From the wet and the mud on the Downs
So they're spread out to dry in the back-porch,
In smelly, untidy mounds.
Then, once the sun's reached its zenith,
The rugs spread all over our home,
To warm sunny lounge or cool hallway
- quiet corners considered their own.
And later, during the evening
They lie quietly in front of the fire
With twitches and grunts of contentment
From their dreams of fun and desire.
So now the end of the day is upon us,
The Golden rugs have gone to bed for the night
And their deep furry pile in the morning,
Will warm our feet in dawn's chilly light.

Wiggy spent many happy hours playing with Calem during his stay with
us.

home.............and Wiggy seems to think a smile may help!
If a smile does not work you can always
hide!

Soon Isis joined them!
The dogs enjoy relaxing with the children when they arrive home from school.

Today Wiggy and Amber enjoyed a walk
by the river - where they found some mud!
Things soon went from "bad to worse"!
Amber looked very pleased with
herself!
They waited patiently for permission
to jump in.
They had great fun swimming!
With the sun shining behind Wiggy it
was easy to see how much water came out of his coat!
From Amber's expression it was easy to
see how happy she was!
The dogs love to collect items on
their walks - Wiggy managed to find an odd glove!
He was happy to share with Amber.
The glove was carried by Wiggy and
Amber for the rest of the walk.
When he was not
carrying the glove Wiggy was having fun off lead.

Wiggy and Summer went on a long trek together - they had a
wonderful time and were very well behaved - of course along the way they managed
to find their share of mud!

He plays very calmly and does not jump up.
Soon it was time for an afternoon snooze.

Isis did not mind Bodie licking her feet!
Bodie has a lot of respect for Isis, as she is very calm,
and they are Best Friends!
Most of his "fun" is with Summer.
The garden is also a place where the cats love to
relax......
and the resident frogs!
