PUPPY DIARY

Week Seven

5th August 2008 - Six Weeks Old

The puppies are now six weeks old.

These are the last photos of the puppies all together as Miss Pink left us today to start a new life with her family.  We know she will have a lovely and extremely experienced home.  She was able to leave us early for this reason.

Forming an orderly queue for the slide!

6th August 2008

We are pleased to report that Miss Pink travelled all the way to her new home (a six hour journey) with no problems what so ever, and slept very well last night - "not a murmur".

Miss Yellow (below) will be staying with us - her pet name will be Aasha, which means "Hope".

Mr Green will be living locally to live with Rob, Clare and Jess - he will be called Archie!  We are looking forward to watching him grow.

Miss Purple will be living in Essex with John and Kim, and their Golden Retriever, Tarn.  As yet she has not got a pet name - it is difficult to choose!

7th August 2008

The puppies have enjoyed lots of visits from friends and family.

This afternoon John, Kim and Tarn came to visit Miss Purple - she is now called Coco.

Tarn (aged 12) and Coco soon got to know one another.

Kim and "the girls".

Daddy's girl!

After running around in the garden Coco found somewhere cool to rest!

Coco will be joining her new family when she is 8 weeks old.  We know she will have a wonderful life with caravanning holidays and a "lifetime of cuddles" - who could ask for more!

Archie met his family again this evening.

Archie and Jess are going to be the best of friends - he soon mastered a "sit" for tasty treat and a toy.

Peek-a-boo!

Archie with Rob and Clare.  Archie will be a very important member of the family and will join them on holidays in the Lake District.

9th August 2008

Tomorrow Archie will be leaving us - it will be a very sad day for us as he is such a calm and gentle puppy - we are going to miss him.  He has now been micro-chipped and wormed again so "Mr Green is ready to go, go, go!".  Today he has been bathed and groomed.

Nails!

The puppies are used to having their feet touched so trimming the fur around his pads was easy - he found it very relaxing!

Next it was time for a shower.  Our dogs enjoy being bathed and groomed - we find a shower cubicle easier - especially with larger dogs.

Tasty treats will always help in a new situation - in this instance chicken!

Next it was time to add water.....................................................and shampoo!

Rinse!

Cuddle and rub!

Dry.

Archie enjoyed being dried - he almost fell asleep again!

Comb!

Totally relaxed..............well done Archie!!!!

Archie spent time in the indoor sleeping pen to make sure he was thoroughly dry before going back outside.

Aasha and Coco have enjoyed playing in the garden as usual.

STUDIES OF ARCHIE BY MARCUS

Below is a video clip of Archie's last evening with Aasha and Coco!

10th August 2008

Today Archie joined his new family.  As he is living locally we took him to his new home.  Libby came along too.

Last photo before getting in the car.

Libby soon found Archie's toys!

Archie and Jess.

We know Rob, Clare, Jess and Archie will all be very happy together.

Amber, Archie, Coco and Aasha all now how their own page but we will continue to update the puppy diary until Coco leaves us.

More updates on Coco and Aasha on Tuesday when they are seven weeks old.
