PUPPY DIARY

Week Seven

Sh Ch Shardanell Castaspell x Summeramba Carbonara

1 dog puppy born on 17th April 2007

Registered Name: Kendaamber One Good Reason

29th May - six weeks old

Freddie is five weeks old and Benson is six weeks old.

My time with the puppies will soon be coming to an end but they are both going to wonderful homes.

Freddie will be known as Solo.

Although it has rained here constantly for a number of days, thankfully rain has not stopped play!

Benson enjoyed a game of tug with Summer with an old cloth.

Solo enjoyed climbing over Libby.

The puppies have also had great fun playing in the clean shredded paper again - and the newspaper!

They then enjoyed a snooze amongst the toys.  Solo is well hidden!

Summer now spends more time with the adult dogs - and eats with them again - she is next to Wiggy at the back, who is particularly pleased to see more of her as they are very good friends.

Later Solo enjoyed an impromptu visit to the milk bar!

And then enjoyed a snooze!

Benson took some time out to pose!

Before falling asleep under the kitchen table with Summer and Libby close by.

It is tiring being a puppy!

31st May

Today the puppies, Summer and Libby have spent time in the puppy garden, which joins onto the dog room.

Summer continues to enjoy her time with the puppies, and although they are weaned they still enjoy a suckle even though there is very little milk available!

Libby and the puppies also enjoy spending time together.

After a while Solo found a shady spot and fell asleep.

While Benson spent time posing for the camera again!

Soon it was time to go and find his friend Solo.

and snuggle down for a well-earned rest.

After some food and milk.........

...............the puppies spent some time running free.

Although this was Solo's first time exploring the largest part of the garden it did not worry him.

Benson had visited this part of the garden before and was pleased to be back again!

He also made some new discoveries...........

a football net.........

Daisies..........

and our cat Skye....

....who was very happy to play!

Soon it was time to sit in the shade and relax!

1st June

Last night Benson had a close encounter with some trimming scissors!  Solo slept peacefully behind us.

Benson was very good and sat still.   It is important that dogs learn to be handled from any early age.

Yikes!

After the trimming session was over it was time to watch some TV.

And then have a cuddle with Dad!

Summer is back to her care-free, happy-go-lucky self and enjoyed playing.

This morning Benson has been standing again -  it is becoming easier with practice.........

...........although he has not quite mastered the art of wagging his tail when free-standing.

He also enjoyed practising with Marcus on the lawn.

But just looking cute is what he does best!

3rd June

Today the puppies, Summer and Libby have spent time relaxing in the puppy garden in the shade.

Summer and Benson enjoyed time together.

The puppies can now get on and off the raised beds themselves and they are ideal for rough and tumble.

Soon Solo was asleep, while Summer happily chewed her Nylabone.

She then joined him for an afternoon nap.

After playing Benson came into the shade for a sleep too.

Benson had just woken up when this photo was taken - he still looks half asleep!

4th June

Benson had fun today playing with a plastic bottle.........

..........and admiring himself!

More fun followed in the garden, where they enjoyed practising recalls with Andy....

.......and running around.

Soon it was time for a rest.....

......and some daydreaming.

After lunch it was time to sit in the shade.

Soon the puppies were fast asleep with Libby,  with Summer close-by chewing her bone.

Libby has been excellent with the puppies.

This afternoon the puppies spent time with all of our dogs - as usual the puppies were not phased at all,

and the adult dogs were very sensible.

Wiggy enjoyed showing Benson the art of carrying a box!

While Solo said "Hello" to Harley and Isis.
