PUPPY DIARY Week One Sh Ch Shardanell Castaspell x Summeramba Carbonara 1 dog puppy born on 17th April 2007 Registered Name: Kendaamber One Good Reason 17th April Today Harry and Summer's singleton puppy arrived by C-section. He weighs 1 lb and 7 ozs. Mother and son are both well.
He has been enjoying himself at the Milk Bar.
Summer has been keeping him clean.
As a single puppy he has some unusual litter mates to keep him company........ .......which he will eventually climb over to get to the Milk Bar.
He does not seem to mind his "brothers" and "sisters" and is a very content puppy.
18th April...........1 day old Breakfast........Summer has a good supply of milk.
We are now trying to feed the puppy on his side in order to prevent him becoming a "swimmer".
Summer seems happier with him in this position as he is easier to clean.
A wonderful bond has developed between Summer and her puppy and she is taking motherhood very seriously.
The puppy has made himself at home and spends his time eating and sleeping.
19th April...........2 days old We have temporarily named the puppy William (Just William).
Summer and William have been for a check-up today - the vet is very pleased with their progress
20th April........3 days old Summer and William enjoying the warmth of the infa-red lamp.
William is a very content puppy.
William is changing rapidly - he has lost the remains of his umbilical cord and has started to develop black pigment on his pads and face.
21st April........4 days old We are monitoring William's weight - he initially lost a little weight, which is normal, and now weighs 1 lb 13 ozs
Marcus spent some time with Summer and William in the whelping box today. Summer has a very close bond with our children and enjoyed a cuddle.
She appears to be very proud of her son.
Needless to say Marcus was very happy too.
